This policy explains how Blackwood Motor Company Ltd ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, http(s)://blackwoodmotorcompany.co.uk. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Websites also use similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage and session storage, to remember things between pages and visits. In this policy "cookies" covers all of them.
Strictly necessary cookies
These make the website work and cannot be switched off on the website. We use them to:
- remember the cookie choices you make, so we do not ask again on every page;
- keep you signed in to your customer account, if you have one with us;
- keep track of a reservation, purchase, payment or booking while you complete it;
- remember vehicles you save or add to a comparison, which are stored in your own browser.
You can block these in your browser settings, but parts of the website will then not work.
Performance and analytics
We may use analytics software to understand how visitors use this website, such as which pages are visited and for how long, so we can improve it. Analytics that set cookies only run if you allow performance cookies, and stop if you later switch them off.
This website uses Google Analytics for this. Google Analytics sets cookies, so it only runs if you allow performance cookies.
Preference cookies
These let the website remember choices you make, so it works the way you left it on your next visit. You can switch them off at any time.
Marketing and third-party cookies
Some features on this website are provided by other companies, who may set their own cookies when you use them. These include embedded videos (for example YouTube), maps, review widgets, and the payment and e-signature services used when you pay or sign online. If we use advertising or social media tools, their providers may use cookies to measure our adverts and show you adverts on other websites.
We do not control cookies set by other companies. Their own privacy and cookie policies explain how they use them.
How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set time or until you delete them.
Managing your choices
You can change your choices at any time with the "Manage Cookies" link at the bottom of every page. You can also see, block and delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking every cookie may stop parts of the website from working.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
